Tutoring that fits the school week in Kuwait
Kuwait is one of Qlive’s largest student groups. We teach children across Kuwait City, Salmiya, Fahaheel, Abbasiya and the other areas where many Indian and South Asian families live. Our teachers have taught 1,00,000+ hours of live classes, one-to-one. Schools usually run Sunday to Thursday, with Friday and Saturday as the weekend. Several Indian schools in Kuwait run shifts, so school hours can differ even between siblings. We start from the times that are actually free in your week.
Most families choose a late afternoon or evening slot after school, homework and a break, or a weekend morning. Kuwait time is two and a half hours behind India, so a 5 pm class in Salmiya is 7:30 pm for a teacher in Kerala. Every time you see from Qlive, in class confirmations, reminders and the Qlive Learn app, is shown in Kuwait time.
The syllabi children in Kuwait follow
Many children in Kuwait study in CBSE schools, of which there are many in Abbasiya, Salmiya, Fahaheel and the city. We also teach children in:
- British curriculum schools, through GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level
- American curriculum schools
- IB schools
- Kerala and other Indian state boards, for families preparing to move back to India
Tell us the school and grade and we match a teacher who teaches that syllabus, so classes follow what your child is actually doing in school.
Arabic, and the other languages families ask for
Arabic is usually taught in private schools in Kuwait, and for children from non-Arabic speaking homes it is often the subject that needs the most help. Parents frequently tell us they cannot check homework themselves, and small gaps in reading and writing grow each year.
Our Arabic teachers start at your child’s real level. For a young child that may be the alphabet, sounds and joining letters. For an older child it is the school textbook, grammar and written work. Children who are well behind can follow the Foundation programme, which rebuilds Arabic step by step through levels.
“As a parent, I am very pleased with the Arabic tuition provided by Qlive for my daughter Kaitlin. It is truly rewarding to see her progress and enthusiasm for learning.”

We also teach Hindi, Malayalam, Urdu, Tamil and French, the common second and third languages in Indian schools in Kuwait. Where it helps, we match a teacher who speaks your home language, which makes the first few classes much easier for younger children.
Board exams and the senior years
For CBSE families, Class 10 and Class 12 board exams are the main milestones. Our teachers work through the NCERT syllabus, past papers and timed practice, and Pulse checkpoints every two to three weeks show which chapters still need work. For CBSE Grade 9 and 10 maths and science, term exams built from chapters already covered are included at no extra cost.
In Class 11 and 12 we teach physics, chemistry, biology, maths, accountancy, business studies, economics and computer science. If your child is preparing for an entrance exam alongside the boards, your Student Success Partner can arrange extra classes or a change of focus.
How it works for families in Kuwait
- A free assessment. An adaptive test of about 40 questions, guided live by a Qlive counsellor. The report shows what your child is strong at, what they are working on and the specific gaps.
- A matched teacher. Chosen for subject, syllabus, grade, your free times and, where it matters, language. A 45 minute demo class is available first if you want one.
- A fixed weekly slot. Classes are usually 60 minutes, live on Google Meet with the learning on Qlive Space, Qlive’s AI-powered, activity-based learning platform. Classes are recorded.
- A Student Success Partner. One trusted person at Qlive whose job is your child’s progress towards your goal. They bring in whatever is needed, from extra practice before exams to a change of teacher, and are a message away in the Qlive Learn app.
Before each class the Qlive Learn app asks you to confirm, change the time or skip that day, then sends reminders 15 and 5 minutes before with a button to join. Each class also has a chat in the app with the teacher and the Qlive team. Worksheets come through Qlive Pulse, and you get a notice in the app when work is assigned and when it is marked.
Fees are set per student after the assessment, depending on subject, grade, curriculum and number of classes. Families in Kuwait usually pay by international bank transfer in USD, or by card.
Start with a free assessment
The first step is a free assessment. It gives you a clear picture of where your child stands, and there is no obligation to book classes afterwards.
